Descriere
Citric Acid is a natural organic acid present abundantly in citrus fruits. It can also be manufactured industrially by fermentation of carbohydrates Acidulant. Citric Acid has extensive applications in many industries, especially in the food and beverages industry.
In detergent, personal care, and cosmetic formulas, it’s a common and essential ingredient working as a buffer and chelating agent. Commonly, it’s added into the compound at the final stage of processing to adjust the pH value of the compound to the desired level.
In cosmetics, Citric Acid also shows skincare benefits. It belongs to the AHA family of acids, which supports skin exfoliation to reveal a fresh and firmer complexion. It is also used as an antioxidant for anti-aging applications.
